Visitation at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton has returned to normal following an outbreak of norovirus.

Tests show the outbreak is now over and all visitor restrictions have been lifted, a hospital spokesperson said.

The visiting ban had been partially lifted for some units last Thursday, but remained in effect for the extended care and evaluation and rehabilitation units.

The entire facility was closed to visitors on Feb. 2 because several patients and employees were experiencing symptoms of norovirus, including vomiting and diarrhea.
