The RCMP are investigating the suspicious deaths of two northwestern New Brunswick people who were found dead in their home on Tuesday.

The RCMP said officers found the bodies of Roger Moreau, 63, and Solange Moreau, 64, in their home in Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska.

The police had received a call earlier in the day after a family member expressed concern at not hearing from the individuals in several days.

The District 10 RCMP and the J Division Major Crime Unit are investigating the deaths.

The RCMP said in a statement it is believed the deaths are an isolated incident and that no third party was involved.

Autopsies have been ordered to determine the cause of death of the two individuals.
