People across the country prayed on Sunday for a New Brunswick woman, who has been missing for more than a week, her family says.

Donna O'Rielly, 54, of Moncton, was last seen leaving her job at H&R Block at Highfield Square on Feb. 26 at about 8 p.m.

Her family believes she may have been abducted.

While police continued to search for clues of O'Rielly's whereabouts, about 300 family, friends and supporters who attended the service at St. Bernard's Church in Moncton prayed for her safe return.

O'Rielly's daughter, Karen Streek, said they weren't alone.

"Family members across the country had organized things across the country," said Streek, who lives in Petawawa, ON, but grew up in Gander, NL.

'There are hundreds and hundreds of churches that have let us know they were praying for Mom [Sunday] in their services, so if there is any way that can somehow be felt by her, then maybe it's just something she can hang on to.'—Karen Streek, daughter

"There are hundreds and hundreds of churches that have let us know they were praying for Mom [Sunday] in their services, so if there is any way that can somehow be felt by her, then maybe it's just something she can hang on to."

O'Rielly, who grew up in Isle aux Morts, in southwestern Newfoundland, and raised her family in Gander, moved to Moncton in 2004 with her husband, Harold.

Her family remains hopeful O'Rielly will be found, but the wait is getting more difficult each day, said Streek, one of several relatives who have gathered at O'Rielly's home on Front Mountain Road.

Wait gets harder

"We've had a vigil, we've done flyer drops, we've put posters everywhere - there's not much more we as a family can do, so it's getting harder to come up with ways to cope 'cause we have a lot more time to think and that's what we've been trying to avoid," she said.

The last image the family has of O'Rielly is a mall security video, showing her leaving work, her arms swinging.

She was probably happy to be heading home to watch Olympic hockey with her husband, said Streek.

But something happened between the mall exit and her car. She never made it home. Her car was found in the parking lot, where she had left it that morning.

On Friday, Codiac RCMP released the surveillance camera footage, hoping the public can help identify some of the people in the video.

Police want to interview everyone in the video, but need help identifying them first, Const. Chantal Farrah has said.

The video, which has also been posted on YouTube, had received more than 25,000 hits as of Monday.

O'Rielly is seen about midway through the video, leaving the mall. She is followed shortly after by a man and woman, one of whom waits in the entrance way before exiting. Then a younger male and female leave.

Anyone who was at Highfield Square last Friday between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. is asked to contact the Codiac RCMP at 857-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

O'Rielly is five feet three inches tall and 130 pounds, with green eyes and shoulder-length brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a brown medium-length, suede-like jacket and jeans. She was also carrying a brown purse and a lunch bag.
