Police probe ground-shaking noise in Rothesay

Rothesay Regional Police are investigating numerous reports of a loud bang in Kennebecasis Park on Sunday night.
Some people said their houses shook and windows rattled as the noise echoed through the Rothesay neighbourhood, outside Saint John, police said.
But no one knows what caused the event, about 6:45 p.m. AT.
Several area residents ran outside, but couldn't see any obvious explanation. Police patrolled the area but found no damage.
No transformers were blown, knocking out power, according to NB Power officials. And municipal staff had nothing to report.
Saint John police also fielded calls about the mysterious noise.
