RCMP are searching for a body in the Grand Bay-Westfield area after a student reported seeing something in the St. John River on Monday afternoon.
Sgt. Claude Tremblay said police have couple of boats on the St. John River on Tuesday around the area known as Victoria Beach.
"Yesterday around 5 p.m., we had a young man, when he got off the bus, advised that he thought he saw a dead person in the St. John River after he came home," Tremblay said.
He said the boy in the southern New Brunswick community may have just seen debris but police aren't taking a chance.
