Many acclaimed in Monday's municipal elections

Monday's municipal elections were uncontested in many of New Brunswick's towns and villages.
The no-contests saw many incumbents continue to serve in mayoral and councillor positions.
Some new faces will also be taking seats in the municipal offices in New Brunswick's smaller communities.
Incumbent Hilyard G. Rossiter was acclaimed mayor in Alma. All of Alma's councillors were also acclaimed. Council will consist of Winston Bickford, Andrew Casey, Kirstin Shortt and incumbent Shawn Miller.
Marven Demmings was acclaimed mayor in the village of Aroostook. The three-member council was also entirely acclaimed and will consist of Tina Lockhart, Eileen McLaughlin and incumbent Lynn Nunn.
Incumbent Mayor Herbert Arseneault was acclaimed in Balmoral. The entire council was also acclaimed, including three incumbents, Claude Arseneault, Guy Landry and Albert Levesque. Newcomer Donald Savoie will fill the fourth seat on council.
In Cambridge Narrows, incumbent Peter Knight was acclaimed mayor. Bruce Dunsmore, Shena Hornell and Jack McLaughlin were acclaimed councillors.
Incumbent Ludger Lang will continue to serve as mayor in Clair. The council will also consist entirely of incumbents — Patrick Long, Marcel Michaud, Pierre Michaud and Jacques Ouellette.
In Eel River, Denis Savoie was acclaimed mayor. The council was also acclaimed and will comprise Ronald Clark, Laurent Hachey, Francois Levesque and Ghislain Maltais.
In Grande-Anse, Roméo Thériault was acclaimed mayor. The council was also acclaimed in its entirety and will be composed of Gino Benoit, Orphir Boucher, Yves Létourneau and Rose-Mai Thériault.
In Hartland, Wayne Britton was acclaimed mayor. The council was also acclaimed and will comprise Patricia Cook, David Gormley, Blaine Lawrence, Roy Layte, Susan Macleod and Wayne Rideout.
In Meductic, Pamela Gavel was acclaimed mayor. The acclaimed council will be composed of Donna Davidson, Lee Dickison and Lancy Graham.
In Millville, incumbent Beverly Forbes was acclaimed mayor, along with council incumbents Dean Bell and Henry Blaney.
All positions acclaimed in Neguac
Roger Ward, Jr. was acclaimed mayor in Neguac. The acclaimed council will comprise Emile Basque, Lucie Breau, Marcel Cyr and Regis Robichaud.
In Nigadoo, incumbent Mayor Gilberte Boudreau was acclaimed. The council was also acclaimed and will be composed of Reno Arseneau, Henri Doucet, Fernande Foulem and Robert Gaudet.
Incumbent Mayor David Hanson was acclaimed in Rexton. The incumbent council was also acclaimed and will comprise William Flanagan, Rodney Girvan, Jean Graham and Elaine Warren.
In Rogersville, Bertrand Leblanc was acclaimed mayor. Jocelyne Bourque and Roger Richard were acclaimed councillors.
Joseph Lanteigne was acclaimed mayor in Saint-Léolin. The acclaimed council will consist of Léontine Bastille, Rosa Clément, Edwidge Cormier, Bertrand Desrosiers and Nicole Godin.
The mayor position was acclaimed in Saint-Louis de Kent, with incumbent Louis Arsenault continuing in the position. The council will also consist entirely of incumbents. Carmen Daigle, Roland Gallant, Anthony Hébert and Howard Vautour were acclaimed councillors.
Incumbent Robert Beaulieu was acclaimed mayor in Saint-Quetin. The council was also acclaimed and will comprise Jocelyne Bossé, Rita Gagnon, Rodrigue Levesque, Nicole Somers and Marie-Josée Thériault.
The village of Stanley also had all its council positions acclaimed. Richard Storey will serve as mayor while Shelley Douglass-Bartlett, Tracy Hunter and Barbara Macdonald will serve as councillors.
