Man seriously injured in stabbing at Moncton bar

A 57-year-old man who was stabbed at a bar in Moncton late Thursday night was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

RCMP say attacker in stabbing at Lexi's Lounge is still at large.

A 57-year-old man was sent to hospital with serious injuries after he was stabbed at a bar in Moncton late Thursday evening.  

The man was attacked at Lexi's Lounge on Reade Street just before 11:30 p.m.

Sgt. André Pepin with Codiac Regional RCMP said the attacker fled the scene and is still at large. 

The victim drove himself to his home on West Lane, between Reade Street and Mountain Road.

RCMP were later called to the residence.

Pepin would not reveal any other details about the incident, including whether the victim and the man who stabbed him knew each other.

The incident is still under investigation.
