RCMP in northern New Brunswick believe speed was a factor in a crash that killed a cab driver and his 17-year-old passenger when their taxi collided with an oncoming truck.
A 16-year-old boy who was also a passenger in the cab and a 65-year-old man who was driving the truck suffered serious injuries in the crash in Kedgwick on Tuesday.
Police say the crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. when the cab driver lost control of his vehicle and collided head-on with the truck.
The cab driver, 35-year-old Daniel Raymond, and his passenger, Mathieu Coulombe, died at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
