Southeast District RCMP are investigating after shots were fired at a home in Petit Cap early Monday morning with three people inside, including a toddler.

Officers responded to a complaint of shots being fired towards a home and a vehicle on the same property on Dosithe Street, off of Route 950, at about 4:30 a.m.

No one was injured, but one shot entered a bedroom of the home where a two-year-old was sleeping, Sgt. Paul Ouellette said in a statement.

RCMP are looking for a mid-sized, dark coloured car that was seen in the area around the time of the incident, said Ouellette.

Anyone who saw a vehicle matching the description or any unusual activity in the area around the time of the incident is asked to contact to Shediac RCMP.
