Salisbury home destroyed in suspicious fire
No one injured, according to fire chief
An abandoned home in Salisbury, N.B., was destroyed by fire overnight and the local fire department is calling it suspicious.
Crews were called to the home, just east of Moncton, on Middlesex Road at around 11:15 p.m. on Friday.
Fire Chief David Bannister says the one-story home was fully engulfed when they arrived.
The Salisbury department was joined by crews from Petitcodiac, Riverview and Elgin. They were on scene for about five hours.
No one was injured.
The investigation has been turned over to the Riverview detachment of the RCMP.
