Saint John police investigating body near train tracks
Police say no foul play suspected after body found in east end
Saint John police are investigating a suspected case of a man being hit by a train after a body was found near the tracks early Saturday morning.
Sgt. Glenn Hayward, with the Saint John Police Force, said a neighbour called it in at 5:45 a.m.
Hayward said the man's body was found on the railbed that runs through east Saint John near Haymarket Square.
An autopsy is expected to be performed and the major crime unit is investigating.
Hayward said foul play is not suspected.
