A well-known member of the New Brunswick mountain climbing community has died after a climbing accident Saturday in Peru.
The body of Cory Hall, 25, was found on Sunday in a crevasse, according to local media reports.
According to his Facebook page, Hall lived in Saint John, but was originally from Quispamsis.
The experienced climber was climbing Mount Piramide in Huaraz by himself. His death marks the fourth climbing death in the area this year.
A team of climbers is attempting to recover Hall's body, along with some of his Canadian friends who had planned to meet up and climb with Hall.
