Saint John man pleads guilty in Pharmasave armed robbery
Both men will be back in court for sentencing on May 28
A 23 year-old man has pleaded guilty Tuesday in connection with a high-profile armed robbery in Fredericton this winter.
Kyle Cameron of Saint John pleaded guilty to holding up a Pharmasave in Fredericton Feb. 24 just before 11 a.m., while armed with a knife and wearing a mask.
Two suspects were subsequently located at the nearby Howard Johnson Hotel on Prospect Street, just a few blocks away from the robbery site and were quickly surrounded by police.
The standoff lasted about three hours before the suspects eventually surrendered without incident and arrested.
Cameron, who originally pleaded not guilty to charges of armed robbery and wearing a mask committing an offence, also admitted to committing two other robberies in Saint John, both at drug stores, earlier in February.
The second man, 26-year-old Tyler Colford of Moncton has already pleaded guilty.
Both men will be back in court for sentencing on May 28.
