Saint John police have seized a vehicle in connection with a hit-and-run accident earlier this month that injured a 51-year-old man.

The registered owner of the seized vehicle has been questioned by the police, but no arrests have been made so far.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Crown Street on Feb. 7 and the driver took off.

Police investigators are now waiting for the results of forensic evidence seized from the vehicle.

The police say the vehicle that left the scene sustained damage to its front end.

The victim is still listed in serious condition. Police say his recovery is expected to take some time.
