The Codiac RCMP are searching for a 29-year-old Moncton woman who disappeared on Sunday evening.

Alanna Greene was last seen walking on Mountain Road, near Killam Drive, on Sept. 16 at roughly 5 p. m., according to a police statement.

Const. Damien Theriault said she had just finished running an errand.

Greene was reported missing on Monday. RCMP issued a news release on Tuesday asking for assistance from the public to locate her.

Since then Theriault said RCMP have received some tips which they are following up.

"At this point we are not discarding any avenues of investigation but we do not believe that somebody else was involved," he said.

"Since we've put out the news release [on Tuesday] we've received some tips that we are following right now. But we are still asking the public's assistance in getting more information, so we can locate her and make sure she's safe and sound," Theriault said.

Greene is about five-feet, four-inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds.

She has brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.

When she disappeared, Greene was wearing a blue sweater, blue jeans and white shoes. She was carrying a blue backpack.
