Environment Canda issues special weather statement

New Brunswick can expect heavy rainfall and strong winds Sunday evening.

A special weather statement has been issued for the province by Environment Canada.

The statement says a very mild and humid air mass will bring rain and strong winds over most of the Maritime region.

The rain is expected to change to flurries on Monday and temperatures will fall well below zero by the afternoon, which will bring icing conditions.

Another system expected to hit mid-week with a possibility of rain, heavy snow and strong winds.
