A preliminary hearing has been set for April 15 for a Fredericton-area man facing a second-degree murder charge.
Kelvin Colburn Constant, 34, is charged in connection with the killing of Christian Mauricio Grueso Salas on Feb. 16.
Salas, 24, died after being stabbed in an apartment on Angelview Court.
Fredericton police were called to the apartment shortly after 2 a.m.
An arrest was made six hours later on the outskirts of the city.
Salas arrived in Canada as a refugee from Colombia eight years ago, along with his mother, sister and niece.
