Power has been restored to most NB Power customers in Riverview after two transformers "malfunctioned" on Wednesday.
More than 1,000 customers were without power at the peak of the outage.
Only 16 customers were still affected at 2:30 p.m., according to the NB Power website.
Two transformers had "malfunctioned" earlier in the day, according to the Riverview Fire Department.
NB Power crews remained on the scene, working on the transformers on Gunningsville Boulevard at the bridge and in front of the Homestead restaurant on Coverdale Road.
Power was expected to be fully restored by 11 p.m., the website states.
Students at Frank L. Bowser School and Riverview Middle School were dismissed for the day.
RCMP were advising motorists to drive with caution because traffic lights in the area were also out.
