Firefighters were back at Pizza Delight in Shediac on Friday, battling the second blaze at the restaurant in as many days.

The Shediac Fire Department confirmed a new fire was reported this morning.

Firefighters thought they had extinguished the flames, but while employees were cleaning up, the fire reignited.

Crews spent most of the day battling the blaze.

The owner says the building has been destroyed, putting 30 people out of work.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

A fire early Thursday morning spread to the building's roof and caused extensive damaged to one part of the building.

No one was injured. The restaurant was closed at the time, so no one was inside.

But frigid weather and winds made it tough work, officials said. The wind fed the flames, which spread to the building's roof, making it even more difficult to contain.
