A family of four escaped an early morning house fire in the northern community of Petit-Rocher on Wednesday.

The fire destroyed the family’s home.

No one was hurt in the fire.

The Canadian Red Cross is helping with clothing and food for the couple and their two teenage children.

A local motel operator, who knows the family, is providing temporary accommodations.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
