N.B. woman's 2008 death deemed suspicious
Fredericton police are asking for the public's help in their investigation into a 2008 sudden death, which has now been deemed suspicious.
Patricia Ann Kucerovsky, a 43-year-old teacher and mother of two, who lived in the Beechwood Crescent area, died in hospital on Aug. 19, 2008.
"Obviously there's many results that [police] have to wait for from the lab and different organizations that are involved with different aspects of the investigation and it's just now come to the point where we're seeking additional information in the investigation," said Sgt. Tim Durling. Officers are canvassing Kucerovsky's old neighbourhood, going door-to-door, he said.
The investigation has been ongoing since Kucerovsky's death, when police were called by the coroner, Durling said.
Police have not said why Kucerovsky was at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, but she died following "a long illness," according to an obituary in a Fredericton newspaper on Aug. 26, 2008. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Det. Phil Huckins at 460-2368, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
