Mother dead, 8-month-old baby injured in N.B. crash
47-year-old woman also suffered serious injuries in head-on collision
A 24-year-old woman is dead and her eight-month-old son was taken to hospital in serious condition after a head-on crash near Woodstock, N.B., Friday afternoon.
RCMP say the crash happened on Route 122 in Dow Settlement around 12:25 p.m.
Police say the driver of one of the vehicles, a woman from Scott Siding, N.B., died on the way to hospital. Her baby was taken to hospital in Fredericton in serious condition.
The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash, a 47-year-old woman, was also taken to hospital in serious condition.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist is helping with the investigation into what caused the crash.
