A 20-year-old Moncton man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that occurred in the city over the weekend, say Codiac Regional RCMP.

Police were called to a multi-unit home on Robinson Street near Queen Street at about 7 a.m. on Sunday.

A 39-year old man was shot and suffered non life-threatening injuries.

The suspect will appear in court at a later date, said Const. Damien Thériault.

Police said at the time they did not believe the shooting was random.

The investigation continues.
