No one was in Wayne Rattray's grey 2000 GMC Sierra when it was located by police off Highway 109 in Three Brooks, RCMP said in a statement on Wednesday.

The search for Rattray, 59, continues.

Arson is suspected in the truck fire, following an investigation that included the RCMP's police dog services and a forensic identification specialist, said Const. Isabelle Beaulieu.

The March 2 house fire has also been deemed suspicious, she said.

Rattray was last seen at his home on Walker Road early that morning. Police and fire crews responded to a fire at the home a short time later.

Three Brooks is located about 25 km east of Tilley.

The RCMP's major crime unit is now investigating Rattray's disappearance, along with the fire at his residence and the discovery of his truck.

Rattray is described as being Caucasian, about five-foot-eight, 160 pounds, with mostly grey hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Perth-Andover RCMP at 506-273-5000, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
