Two elderly travellers from Ontario, who were reported missing on Thursday morning when they hadn't arrived at their New Brunswick destination, have been found safe, say RCMP.
"The RCMP would like to thank the public for their assistance," Sgt. Renée Labbé stated in a news release on Thursday afternoon.
The 88-year-old man and 91-year-old woman from Scarborough, Ont., were last seen on Wednesday at 8 a.m. leaving the Super 8 hotel in Campbellton.
The two were driving to Forest City, which is near the Canada-U.S. border, northwest of McAdam.
Campbellton and Forest City are 357 kilometres apart, with the most direct route having an estimated driving time of about four hours.
