A 14-year-old Fredericton boy, who had been missing since Friday, has been found, say police.
"We are happy to advise that Josh Wood has been located and since returned home," the Fredericton Police Force stated in an email on Sunday, shortly after 6 p.m.
Police had asked for the public's assistance in locating Josh in a statement issued on Saturday night.
He had last been seen Friday at about 8 a.m. near Leo Hayes High School.
Cpl. Sean Clark had said there was no reason to believe Josh was in danger.
“It's not like nobody has seen or heard from him. He's had contact with his mother earlier today," Clark had told CBC News.
"We believe he's at a friend’s residence, we just don't know which friend, and what circumstances the friend's family believes he's there."
A detective and another officer were contacting friends and following leads, Clark had said. Police were asking anyone with information to call.
