Matt Andersen of Perth-Andover was named the male vocalist of the year for the second straight year Monday at the national Maple Blues Awards in Toronto.

Matt Anderson received the Maple Blues award as male vocalist of the year in Canada for the second straight year on Monday.

New Brunswick's Matt Andersen was named the male vocalist of the year for the second straight year Monday at the national Maple Blues Awards in Toronto.

It was the fifth time Perth-Andover's Andersen has been honoured with a Maple Blues award.

Andersen has a new album coming out Feb. 26 titled, Honest Man.

Theresa Malenfant of Dieppe was also honoured in Toronto, receiving a Blues With a Feeling award to recognize lifetime achievement for an outstanding career in blues music community.
