A 58-year-old man died in western New Brunswick on Thursday afternoon after his all-terrain vehicle collided with a pickup truck.

The crash that killed Kevin Albert happened before 2:30 p.m. on Route 380 in Anderson Road, which is near Plaster Rock.

“Investigators believe that the collision occurred when Albert, who was operating the ATV, failed to stop when he approached Route 380 from a private road,” according to a statement from the RCMP.

“He collided with a pickup truck being driven by a 46-year-old man from Grand Falls, who was the only person in the vehicle.”

The truck driver did not sustain any injuries in the accident.

The police investigation is continuing, according to the RCMP.
