Man dies in Long Creek, N.B., crash
Mother and two children hospitalized
One man died and four people were sent to hospital after a car crash in Long Creek, N.B., Saturday.
The collision happened at 5 p.m. on Highway 10 when an east-bound vehicle crossed the centre line and hit a vehicle with a woman and her two children.
The driver of the east-bound car died at the scene. He was a 29-year-old Waterborough man and his name has not been released.
The woman and her children remain in hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger in the east-bound vehicle is also in hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
An RCMP reconstructionist attended the scene to investigate the collision, which is about 30 kilometres north-west of Sussex.
"The preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol and not wearing a seat belt were contributing factors. The investigation is ongoing," Cpl. Gerald Bigger said Sunday.
