The Sackville RCMP are investigating a pedestrian accident that left a man critically injured. (CBC)

The Sackville RCMP are asking for the public's help in connection with a vehicle-pedestrian accident on Friday morning that left a man critically injured.

Officers responded to a call about 11 a.m. on Highway 2, just east of Exit 480 for Old Shediac Road.

A 58-year-old man had been critically injured in a collision with a tractor-trailer.

The man remains in hospital. The RCMP's accident reconstruction team visited the scene.

The police say the investigation is ongoing.
