Man accused in Nackawic town hall fire remains in custody
Edwin Samuel Bradley, 56, faces 3 charges following fire at muncipal building and fire hall
A 56-year-old man who was arrested after a fire at the Nackawic Town Hall and fire station on Monday has been charged with several offences.
Edwin Samuel Bradley was charged Tuesday with impaired driving, refusing to provide a breath sample, and breaching the conditions of an earlier court order.
Bradley remains in custody pending a hearing on Thursday in Woodstock to determine if he will remain in custody or be released pending trial.
At about 7:30 a.m. Monday, a man drove his vehicle into the Nackawic fire hall.
The resulting fire destroyed one fire truck and the fire hall suffered significant damage.
There were no injuries in the incident.
RCMP say its investigation into the incident is continuing.
