Police say investigation continues
Moncton RCMP have released some more information about human remains found in a field around Wheeler Boulevard last month.
Police said the remains are male, but have not yet been able to determine the age of the person.
On Dec. 22, shortly before 4 p.m., a person walking by made the grisly discovery in a field next to Wheeler Boulevard near the Church Street overpass in Moncton.
Dental record checks and a DNA analysis are being done in an effort to identify the remains.
Police said there is no sign of foul play, but it hasn't been ruled out. They said the cause of death has not been established.
The Codiac RCMP major crime team said it is working closely with families of known missing persons.
