Route 10 expected to be closed until noon due to downed power lines on the road
Route 10 between Fredericton and Minto has been closed until noon Friday to allow downed power lines to be removed from the road.
A transformer on a utility pole exploded over night and two poles went down putting live wires on the highway.
Crews from the Fredericton Fire Department and N.B. Power responded to the down lines near the county line between York County and Sunbury County.
The incident has left 483 N.B. Power customers in the Noonan area without electricity.
Traffic between Fredericton and Minto is being rerouted through Lakeville Corner.
