Strong winds and blowing snow caused at least three separate accidents along the Trans-Canada Highway east of Sackville, N.B. Friday afternoon.

The highway remained open, but RCMP are urged motorists to drive with caution between Sackville and Nova Scotia.

‚ÄčA tractor trailer left the road at about 3 p.m. and ended up in the ditch just outside Sackville, said Const. Jullie Rogers-Marsh.

A few kilometres down the road, a passenger car spun out and hit a guard rail, and just before the border, another car went into the ditch.

No injuries were reported.

A long line of traffic was crawling past emergency vehicles, CBC's Marc Genuist reported from the scene.
