The RCMP is investigating a Memramcook family’s complaint that gunshots were fired at their house on Monday night.

The Memramcook RCMP received a 911 call just before 9:30 p.m. on Monday saying shots were fired at a house on Chemin Principal in the southern New Brunswick village.

There were no injuries but a man was in the house’s living room when the shots were fired.

RCMP officers have been interviewing neighbours and witnesses to gather information.

"We are asking anyone who may have been in the area at the time and seen anything to call police," said Const. Chantal Farrah in a statement.

"We are particularly interested in talking to anyone who may have been on the ATV and snowmobile trails in the Pré-d'en-haut area that evening."

The RCMP's forensic identification experts are also assisting in the investigation.
