A fire in Grand Falls, N.B. overnight forced 16 people out of their homes.
The fire broke out just before midnight at a three-storey building located in the 200-block of Broadway Street.
No one was injured.
One apartment suffered significant damage and other units had smoke and water damage.
Electricity to the building was cut off as a precaution.
Fire officials say they are still investigating what caused the fire.
"Most tenants found places to stay for the night with family or friends in the community," said Dan Bedell with the Canadian Red Cross in a news release.
He said the organization helped others find a place to stay and stepped in with emergency purchases like clothing and food.
The building has eight upper level apartments and a few ground-level businesses, including real estate and insurance agencies.
