A Fredericton-based software development company is creating 95 information and communications technology jobs.

Blue Spurs is expanding its operations, Premier David Alward announced on Wednesday in Fredericton.

The provincial government is providing up to $500,000 through a payroll rebate to create the jobs over three years, he said.

The IT sector is a focus of New Brunswick's economic development action plan, called Growing Together.

Mike LeBlanc, CEO and founder of Blue Spurs, said the partnership will help "build a long-term, sustainable business and play a key role in the local information and communications technology ecosystem."

The jobs will include software engineers, quality assurance specialists, UI / UX specialists, architects, technical support analysts as well as business development and sales professionals.

Blue Spurs, created in 2012, is a full-service IT provider, offering mobile application development, cloud enablement, as well as strategy and custom solutions, according to its website.
