Fredericton Police officers are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred at a house on the city’s north side on Sunday night.

The blaze started after 7 p.m. on Sunday at a house on Sunset Drive.

Fredericton Police Sgt. Scott Patterson said no one was hurt in the fire but there are concerns about its origins.

An investigation is expected to continue Monday morning.

Fredericton firefighters were also called on Sunday evening to a vehicle fire on Lansdowne Street, which is on the city's south side.

Then shortly before midnight, there was a report of an armed robbery at a gas bar on the city's north side.

Patterson wouldn't disclose the exact location of the robbery, but he said a lone male entered the store with a weapon and demanded money.

No one was hurt and he fled on foot.

A dog was used to try to track the man, but police are still looking for him or any additional information.
