Eleven people are temporarily homeless after a Friday-night fire at a wood-frame apartment building in Saint John, N.B.
The blaze flared up around 9 p.m. on Friday, on Prince Street West.
The local fire department said the flames were mostly contained to a single apartment in the older, two-storey building.
The other four apartments suffered smoke or water damage.
Seven of the eleven displaced tenants received help from the Canadian Red Cross, while the other four made arrangements to stay with family or friends.
