A fire at a Fredericton-area business specializing in welding and technical heat treatment needed some treatment of its own from the Oromocto Fire Department on Friday morning.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Maugerville just before 5 a.m.
By the time fire crews arrived the warehouse and attached office were fully engulfed.
Witnesses reported hearing explosions, and Oromocto Deputy Fire Chief Richard Cummings confirmed that was the case.
"We have found one large compressed gas cylinder which was in the building. It actually exploded, rocketed out of the building at one point prior to our arrival," he said.
Cummings said the building was unoccupied at the time and no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by fire officials and the RCMP.
