Female jogger attacked at Fredericton's Killarney Lake Park

A female jogger was attacked by two males at Fredericton's Killarney Lake Park on Wednesday night, say police.

Victim suffered minor injuries, police seek help identifying two male suspects in their early 20s

Fredericton police are seeking the public's help identifying two suspects after a female jogger was physically assaulted at Killarney Lake Park on Wednesday night.

Two young males assaulted the jogger on the park trail at about 9:45 p.m., spokesperson Alycia Morehouse said in a release.

The victim managed to fight off the assailants, and suffered minor injuries, Morehouse said.

"We believe this to be an isolated incident," she said without elaborating.

The suspects are described as being in their early 20s. They were wearing shorts and no shirts at the time.

"It is extremely important to gather information that may help apprehend the suspects," said Morehouse.
