RCMP are seeking the public's help in solving a canned clam caper in Le Goulet, N.B.
Police say 360 cans of Sea Watch brand clams were stolen from a warehouse on Basile-Roussel Road.
Investigators believe someone broke into the warehouse sometime between Sept. 24 and Sept. 25, Const. Jean-François Dulac stated in a news release.
There is no word on the estimated value of the clams, which are labelled: Clam juice and chopped surf clams.
Thirty cases, each containing 12 cans weighing 1.3 kilograms were stolen, said Dulac.
Anyone with information that might help identify those responsible for the theft is asked to contact the RCMP at 506-393-3000 or 1-888-506 RCMP (7267), or anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
