Campbellton python tragedy case goes to Crown
New Brunswick RCMP says the results of its investigation now sit with the Crown
The investigation commenced Aug. 5, 2013 after an African rock python asphyxiated the boys.
Jean-Claude Savoie, the owner of Reptile Ocean pet store, situated below the apartment where the boys had been killed, has not been charged in relation to their deaths but was a subject of a criminal investigation.
The store was an unlicensed zoo and pet store, according to the Department of Natural Resources.
CBC News is seeking comment from the Crown and Savoie's lawyer.
