A 15-year-old boy has been charged with mischief relating to a bomb threat called into Fredericton High School on Dec. 11, 2013.
Fredericton Police announced the charge on Tuesday.
The accused, who was a student at FHS, can not be named under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The school, which has almost 1,900 students, was cleared for the day at 10:30 a.m. after the discovery of a hand-written note that made specific threats.
Students and staff were moved to École Sainte-Anne while police and fire department officials searched the school.
The police force's explosive device unit, emergency response team and canine units from the RCMP and Fredericton police responded to the call.
No explosive devices were located.
