Codiac RCMP have identified the body recovered from the Petitcodiac River on Sunday as being a missing Moncton woman.
Tiffany Yvonne Mertin, 41, of the Jones Lake area, had been reported missing to police on Friday.
An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Monday to establish her cause of death, said Const. Damien Thériault.
Mertin was last seen on June 30 at about 9 p.m., as she left her residence.
Emergency crews were called about a body in the river near the causeway bridge on Sunday at about 10:15 a.m.
The RCMP, Moncton, Riverview and Dieppe fire departments and an ambulance responded.
The rising tide presented a challenge, but the body was recovered at about 11 a.m.
