Autopsy to be conducted Saturday on remains of 53-year-old

An autopsy is scheduled to be conducted Saturday on a body discovered in Tobique First Nation.

RCMP say the remains of a 53-year-old man were found behind a school in the community at about 11 p.m. on Thursday.

No other details have been released.

This is the second time in a week a body has been found in Tobique.

The body of a 29-year-old woman was discovered in the snow near a snowmobile trail on New Year's Day.

Foul play is not suspected in that case.

Police believe the woman, who had been drinking, left her home on foot without proper clothing for the weather and succumbed to hypothermia.
