RCMP have released a video of an armed robbery that took place this week in Fredericton Junction.

A masked man entered the Citizens Credit Union on Sunbury Drive armed with a gun at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 9.

An undisclosed amount of cash was taken, according to the police.

"Releasing the video publicly may help anyone who might recognize something about the suspect such as his clothes or the way he walks, to come forward and assist us with identifying him," said Cpl. Chantal Farrah.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The suspect is described as being of average height, with a medium build. He was wearing a jacket that was white and black in colour.

"The RCMP is continuing to gather evidence and follow various leads to identify the person responsible for the robbery," Farrah said.
