The Algonquin Hotel in St. Andrews was closed last fall as the iconic hotel was closed for a $25-million renovation project.

The resort is expected to be open on June 1, 2013. When it opens its doors again, the Algonquin will be a part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, a brand of luxury hotels.

In March 2012, the New Brunswick government sold the historic hotel to New Castle Hotels and Resorts and Southwest Properties.

The Tudor-style Algonquin hotel was built in 1889 by the St. Andrews Land Co

The CBC's Neville Crabbe was at the hotel on Wednesday and got a peek inside the iconic property.
