New Brunswick SPCA officials are investigating after 52 animals were seized in Scoudouc earlier this week.

The wide-range of animals, including dogs and cats, rabbits, ferrets and hamsters, were taken to the Oromocto and Area SPCA on Monday to be cared for.

"It was a chaotic few hours, filled with love and tenderness and compassion," the group's Facebook site states.

Since then, there has been an outpouring of support for the animals, according to the site.

All of them have been taken in by foster families, the website states.

People have also offered to donate everything from money, to food and bedding.
