Three people have been arrested in connection with the armed robbery of Cochran's Country Market in Rothesay last week.
A 47-year-old man has been charged with armed robbery and is facing additional charges, Rothesay Regional Police Det. Sgt. Craig MacDougall stated in a video release on YouTube.
Two other accused remain in custody and will face similar charges next week, he said.
MacDougall thanked the RCMP and the Saint John Police Force for their assistance in the case.
"This is yet another example of what can be accomplished through collaboration through police agencies," he said.
"It is anticipated it will result in further charges against individuals for other thefts and violent offences in the region."
On July 16, about 1:30 a.m., multiple suspects armed with weapons entered Cochran's Country Market on Hampton Road.
Two employees were working in the store at the time, but no one was injured.
The suspects made off with an undisclosed amount of money, police had said.
